About Me
My name is Anabelle Doulas, and I use she/her pronouns.
I am a LCSW and CADC in the State of Illinois, with experience supervising clinicians (LPCs, MSWs, LSWs, and LCSWs, LCPCs) and clinical interns (Social Work and Counseling). Since 2015, I have supervised clinicians who work in a variety of settings (ranging from residential facilities to schools to outpatient settings) and with a variety of individuals (throughout the lifespan, with varying levels of acuity and diagnoses). I have worked directly with individuals seeking supervision, as well as organizations and practices seeking supervision for their employees.
On top of genuinely enjoying working alongside my clients, I am passionate with training developing clinicians and supporting established clinicians. I thoroughly enjoy working alongside supervisees to:
‣Develop clinical skill
‣Build confidence
‣Explore countertransference/transference
‣Emphasize and develop self-care
In my direct service work, I am a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) mental health clinician, who utilizes several approaches (i.e., mindfulness, person-centered, family-centered) and techniques (i.e., play therapy, sand tray therapy, motivational interviewing, techniques from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy [DBT]) in my work alongside clients.
